1. What Pulse is
Pulse is a news site covering technology, fintech, and business, with an emphasis on African tech and business coverage. Article summaries on Pulse are researched and written with the assistance of AI, drawing on primary sources and public reporting. Every article links out to the sources used to write it, under “Dive deeper.”
2. No account required
Pulse doesn’t require you to create an account to read, search, or browse. Features like bookmarking (“Saved”) are stored only in your browser’s local storage and are never sent to us tied to your identity. Likes, dislikes, and read counts are tracked per-browser using an anonymous, randomly generated identifier — not your name, email, or account.
3. Accuracy of content
We aim for accuracy and always link primary sources so you can verify claims yourself — that’s the whole point of the “Dive deeper” section on every article. That said, content on Pulse (including AI-assisted summaries) is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied on as financial, legal, or investment advice. Always verify time-sensitive or decision-critical information against the linked primary sources.
4. Acceptable use
You’re welcome to read, share, and link to Pulse articles. Please don’t scrape or republish our content wholesale without permission, attempt to abuse or overload our infrastructure (including the ingestion or voting APIs), or use the site for any unlawful purpose.
5. Third-party links
Articles link to third-party sources, and our social links point to our Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn pages. We’re not responsible for the content or practices of external sites we link to.
